  3. Finally got these off the bench after a few months of modelling inactivity. Enjoyable builds, and I think the Hurricane looks much sweeter on its boots than the Spitfire, so as a modelling subject I prefer it. They are the limited edition kits using box decals (Mostly) although the prop on the Romanian one is an Airfix Spit prop thanks to Troy, as well as the guidance he gave throughout the builds. There a few things left to do and some errors most noticeable on the Romanian one, but I'm not going to tell you if you don't already know! Painted with Gunze dark earth, Tamiya dark green (xf-81), Xtracolour mid stone and azure blue. The only aftermarket bits were the Mk.II exhausts and Falcon canopies. The Crois de Loraine decals supplied in the kit are red, so I cut some blue decals up to overlay them with blue ones which from the evidence I've come across appears to be the case. Hope you enjoy Romanian kite Free French kite Thanks for looking, Neil

  4. Thanks Mark! I got the rest of the railings on today, and also fitted the small decks and the funnel permanently: They aren't touched up here but I did that too, mostly. Need daylight to spot the remaining issues I think. I didn't have much railing left over - this is all of it: This evening I did some work on the hull, starting by making it look ghastly: And then gradually clearing most of it off to leave grime and such: It turned out OK: I'll reserve final judgement for tomorrow - I might want to clean along the waterline a bit more, and chip the cutwater on the bow. I also need to add rust from the mine rails on the transom. I've tried to be restrained with the rust which is a shame as rust on grey looks yummy. Cheers, Will

  5. Designed to penetrate Soviet airspace high and fast. Capable of over Mach 2.5 at altitudes of 80,000ft + Painted blue to blend in with the sky, it was affectionately called "Bluebird" by it's crew, as a nod to both the land speed record car and the American SR-71 Blackbird.

  6. Right folks, this has been a long time in the making. I started this back in summer last year, before my life took a few turns for the worst. Building this kit was only ONE of the tribulations... It's the Revell 1/144 kit, originally meant to be the Lufthansa version, but I wanted a British Airways Landor version. That meant buying an Airfix version for the correct decals and the engines, which turned out to be a waste of time as the decals were scuffed and the engines were pretty useless lumps. I ended up getting the Draw Decal set and some resin engines, and still had to rob the wheels from the Airfix kit as the Revell ones were mis-moulded. As General Melchett observed, it'd have been easier and cheaper to get the Dragon kit and replace the decals! Anyway, after much kitbashing, scratchbuilding, filling and sanding, the finished article is finally here. I was hoping for some decent weather to photograph it in outside, but as I'm off work this week that's a forlorn hope...so, kitchen table it is. Hope you like it: Now, what's next? Cheers, Dean

  7. All done! Here is my Tamiya P-51D that I built for 1st Lt. Henry Pfeiffer's son. 1st Lt. Henry Pfeiffer named and piloted Tangerine for the 357th FG. His son contacted me about building his father's plane to display in his home. The Tamiya Mustang needs no introduction, I only used a True Details seat to get some realistic belts. I used mostly Tamiya paints, but also Model Master, vallejo, citadel, and gunze. Big Thanks to Jason Brewer from Brewer Models on facebook (and here) for the amazing pictures. Look him up on facebook and check out his amazing Dora and Spitfire. I've lost to both of those planes at shows and I'm ok with that! Thanks for looking.

  8. Hello all, Here is my recently finished 1/48 Hasegawa F-14A Tomcat in VF-41 'Black Aces' markings during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001. Build thread is here Extras used included Aires cockpit set, Steel Beach FOD covers, Quickboost seats, Wolfpack Designs update set, Bombcat set and fuel tanks, Yellowhammer decals and GBU-12's from the spares. And alongside my other OEF 'A' model Tomcat of VF-14: Both from the USS Enterprise, it was the last time two A model squadrons deployed together and both would surrender their Tomcats for Super Hornets upon returning to the USA. This left only VF-211 and VF-154 flying the A model 'cat. Comments welcome, thanks for looking. Dave

  9. Here's my Gunze Sangyo 1:1 scale Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. Quite please how it's turned out, could probably do with a coat of matt varnish I think. Glad I made it under the wire. Right, on with the Harrier build!

  10. Its not sufficient to come out with grand or lavish statements like this without some real proof. We have several Dakota experts in our local club which is affiliated with a museum and these guys have worked on the real thing. It is acknowledged that the Trumpeter kit has some issues but to come out with the rather repetitive opinion that any US Made kit from 30 years ago with its own inherent problems And is considered superior is getting a little tiresome and claims need to be substantiated. If you really want to do something about it you need to start lobbying your own model manufacturing companies to actually come out with some new kits (not re-issues with the odd new part) and have them stop resting (along with yourself) on the laurels of old moulds that are in many cases well past their sell by date and certainly cannot be described as "light years ahead" just because the other kit comes from the "Axis of Inaccuracy" that is China, The Czech Republic and Japan. Monovell need to start taking a leaf out of the Airfix book, my friend ! And you need to start lobbying

  11. I ummed and ahhd as to whether I should put this here or in the real world aircraft RFI, but here it is..... Still needs a couple of bits putting on, but for all intents and purposes, it's finished. For those that don't know, the t.12 was the aircraft that TSR2 crews were to do their conversion training on, then move onto the T.2 TSR2, if it got built. The T.12 was to have the "big bore" engine of the FGR9 and I believe the F6 had it too, but normal Hunter T-birds had the smaller bore. Also, a bulge on the nose houses TSR2 systems. The kit is the 1/48 Revell/Academy kit, with the Heritage Aviation T.7 Conversion. This nicely comes with a corrected exhaust and wheels. It is done in a What-if 237 OCU markings, using an Eagle with a mortar board hat.

  12. This is a very old kit! Loads of flash, ejector pin marks everywhere, but its a big bi-plane, so I decided to have a go at it as I have never built and rigged a bi-plane before. I refined some of the details, but its virtually out of the box. I replaced the moulded on ring sights with a couple of etched ones from the spares box. The rigging was done using fishing line, and was as fiddly and annoying as I expected! Humbrol enamels were used to paint her. Coincidentally, the markings are for 45 squadron RFC based at Itrana in Northern Italy in 1918. Itrana is now Treviso airport, and my mum was born in Treviso! upload img upload imagem image free hosting adult image image hosting 30 mb jpg images post image online image ru Thanks for looking

  13. Greetings and salutations. Please permit me to present my version of the Tamiya F15 Eagle in 1/32 scale. The kit itself is absolutely brilliant albeit quite expensive. It is extremely well detailed although the purist can easily super detail it using various aids from our Czech producer. The fit of the parts are absolutely sensational. This kit, in terms of quality and fit, is equivalent to the Tamiya F16 in the same scale. The biggest issue I had doing this kit, apart from my modelling skills, were the decals which were horrible. They wanted to disintegrate and disappear. They also silvered quite badly. I put it down to the age of the kit as I believe this is an old stock item. Pity, it spoilt the end result. I have never had any issues previously with Tamiya decals. I did use various Eduard bits and pieces to embellish some of the finished product but I was very selective as to what I used, and more importantly, I wanted to get this completed quickly. I started it on January 8 last year and it was like a bear in winter - hibernating - until I started on it again in March this year. I finally completed it two weeks ago. Where are the photos I hear you ask. Right here. I loaded this up. I know it isn't right but I just could not help it. So good was the fit of this kit that the exhaust snapped into place without glue being required. Those exhaust are like mini kits in themselves. Lots of lovely fiddly bit to play with. I was so excited when I got to this part. Given the size of this beast, I did assemble it in stages and applied the decals as I went along before putting it all together. I found it much easier to do it this way. This is with the gun door closed Radar exposed. When it closes, the nose cone fits snuggly back in place. Avionics door closed view Side view obviously Avionics bay open. This did take a while to paint and embellish. Airbrake Gun bay open Next up is a 1/32 scale Tornado which will be straight out of the box. Until next time, this is Monty signing off.

  14. Here is my effort depicting Anson L7951 of 45 Air School near Oudshoorn in the Western Cape in 1940. Tackling the kit only now had it’s advantages as numerous previous builds could be used to point out any problems or pitfalls. The underside is finished in a blue used only in South Africa during the war and is described as SAAF Sky Blue A (close to FS 35190) by historian Ron Belling in his book ‘A portrait of Military Aviation in South Africa’ So, another one in the bag........ BTW Has anybody got a solution to overcome the terrible quality of the Photobucket images? Cheers. Edit; Sorry for the double post......had a power surge

  15. The Airfix Sunderland is finished, and is now in the safe hands of its new owner! I knew what I was in for with this model, but the fact it was more or less OOB took the pressure off a bit. The fit and finish is pretty bad as expected for a model of this age, the raised rivet detail being a big problem. If you fill and sand the gaps in the fuselage halves and wing roots, you end up removing a load of tiny rivets too. Masking over rivets is also tricky because the paint 'bleeds' under the raised bits. The fuselage halves don't match up very well, so there is a bit of a step there which is very difficult to remove without days of work. The cockpit glazing was a pretty good fit on the fuselage, but if you fit the pilots, you can't fit it because the pilots are about 2mm too tall. I had to cut their feet off. The control columns also don't fit in the cockpit opening without raking them back a bit. IIRC the only things I added were stretched sprue float bracing wires and an aerial, some rubber handle grips to the beaching trolley, red band decals on the bombs and a pale band decal around the D/F loop fairing. FWIW I'm happy with it all things considered. Cleaned-up parts. I was hoping the portholes could be masked by punching masking tape through a paper hole punch, but they are too small. I used a steel punch to do it and it worked pretty well, although the glazing is a poor fit and some portholes are badly deformed in their centres. The bombs were in halves which didn't match up. This required more filler. I added some red bands by cutting up an old Matchbox 1/32 Spitfire tail flash. Much easier than painting! I also drilled the back of the bombs to make them a bit less bulky, but it's obviously impossible to drill a round hole concentric with an oval solid! The prop spinners are all wrong, so I tried to make them more realistic by painting the white to about the right size, and leaving the rest black. I used Tamiya Smoke for the exhausts and pre and post shading the panel lines. It's good stuff because it's almost transparent and gives you a good chance to correct mistakes as you're spraying. I tried sanding flats on the tyres to make them look loaded. Worked OK. Upper wing roundels are about 2mm too large: they should be a bit further outboard, but as they are they would touch the ailerons and the black l/e strip. I added some reflectors to the wing lights out of punched foil - they look good although the clear glazing is not a good fit to the wing l/e. There is absolutely no framing on the screens or the turrets. All the framing is done by looking at 3-view drawings and photos, and masking the glass bits before overspraying first with interior green followed by outer surface colour. Cheers!

  16. The promised pictures: The fuse and wing went together quite OK, but I had to use a good amount of filler. Humbrol filler and liquid glue made up a putty. I could not find the nose guns so they had to be made out of sprue. Not exactly 100% accurate but they give a good impression of the cowling guns. Primed and masked eady for the airbrush. Vallejo primers and Italeri acrylic paint. After the paintjob. My second attempt at airbrushing a plane, and first with a metallic paint. Next is making ready all the details. Canopy, landing gear, serial number and nationality markings. No decals to be used and no weathering to be done. Remember the original didn't even fly is this paint scheme. But I'l be going away for the weekend in about an hour, and won't be back until sunday evening. So the next posting has to be in the ordinary RFI

  19. Well, it's finished. Main purpose of this build was to test some new techniques which I've never use before. Except the problems with decals applying and exhaust smoke I'm rather satisfied with the result. Mission complete.

  20. Not posted anything for a few weeks. I have been building the Revell "London Bus" But needed a break from anything RED so decided on this big 18 Ton monster, I have the gun to go with it but will leave that until another day. This was out of the box with some oil barrels and the odd petrol can. I decided not to build the men supplied with it at this time but will do them someday !! Honest. I used various AK Paints and washes. The tracks are the best i have built because they seemed so easy to assemble. I primed with Panzer grey and used the hairspray method with a topcoat of AK 702 with stripes of AK 705 and AK 703 so that the dark undercoat would show through. I put a very light spray of the AK 702 so that the Panzer grey could be seen, i did not want the topcoat to be too over the top. Comments always welcome. Well back to the bus for now..

  21. Well finally something to show for my time. First build in at least 40 years, so I'm quite pleased though I still see places for improvement. Did tire a little and not correct a few obvious faults, but I have it's big Hasegawa brother waiting! As the reviews for this kit state, not perfect, age is showing. Glazing was a poor fit, but thanks to Kristal Klear managed to get it on. Decals are nice and help make it look good. Vallejo Model Air and Future. Haven't decided on whether to weather or not!

  23. Actually, the word "saludos" in Spanish means much like "greetings" in English, 'n' yeh, it's indeed a tongue-in-cheek remark. I understand the feelin' goon was talkin' about, as much as I take it that Luis' statement was made in good faith. However, I'd like, if I may, to note that it also kinda infuriates me that, after 32 years, modellers in the age of 25 to 30 like myself, might still get involved in wrong interpretations on modellin' forums whenever depictin' subjects participatin' in a war we've not even experienced - that's the Falkland war. Y'all British folks should already know by now whut the silly reason to go to war was for the military Junta which ruled our country back in '82. Well? In all honesty, to me it's quite the same reason why our current president seems to be clumsily claimin' sovereignty over some islands which retakin' took the lives of way too many people on both sides 32 years back in time! But as clumsy as our president may be, I'm deadly sure she wouldn't ever consider to even think of goin' to war again... I'm Argentine, 'n' I'm very proud of the men who had to fight that war, but that doesn't mean that as a citizen I would have supported the war back in '82. Couldn't ever support it now even when I've read a lot 'bout it. So please, if anythin,' let's just focus on the beauty of the aircraft that participated on both sides of that war. I'm in luv with the Mighty Vulcan ever since I read 'bout those Black Buck raids; does that make me a traitor...??? For God's sake, mates... Cheers, fellas. Sorry to have hijacked goon's thread for this. Unc²

  24. Hello, This is my last built, a Gloster Meteor F3 of Cyber hobby. Altogether I am very satisfied with this kit, some litigious points when same: - air-brakes slightly too big Eduard. - the cut of the legs of train which creates joints not practises to fill (as for myself I was lazy) - needs to plan a big big ballast, I thought of being quiet but it is limit tail seater, pay attention on that. Otherwise a pure pleasure. I hope you understand my english

Therefore who won - and that is good))). - I place my ready models just in two display stands. While the place is.

  27. Greetings, sorry that it has been a while but I've been a little bit busy with life lately. However, I have still managed the odd hour here and there on ole Thunder! The canopy..... strewth! You've all seen the bathroom windows supplied in the kit, so in keeping with the limited scratchbuilding clause I decided to cut out the 'glass' and re-use the frame! Airwaves photo etched saw blade awaaaaaay! Over two dozen breaks in 13 places later........ Decided to scratch the whole lot, so I mapped out the canopy while taped to the fuselage and created a master drawing. Traced the drawing on to some clear food packaging box window stuff and went snippity with my scissors.... ...and ended up with a workable test shot...... .....which fitted nicely in its hole! All 'clear' for the real piece! I've covered the glass in 'invisible' tape so that I can mark the frame and mask the windows. Next stage will be adding the frame! Wish I'd done this to begin with!

  28. Well some progress, here are the decals And after a lot of water, micro set and sol they are brought back to life (with a few additions from another NAVY bird, an intruder) So from a disaster it seems it may even be on course to complete for the GB end date. Cheers Graham

  29. Hello again Chums, Wolwe, the decals in this kit are surprisingly good.Minimal carrier film and good opacity.Very easy to work with. The exhausts had a little attention too. Chockhead, these kits are worth the effort.Good value for money. Well the matt varnish (Vallejo) is dry,the antenna mast and inner wheelbay doors have been fitted and the masking removed from the canopy. The exhausts have had a coat of Dark Earth and a rub over with some powdered pencil lead.Photography has shown up a couple of little touch ups that are needed on the propellor, those will be done in the next day or two.I'm calling this finished. What would I do differently next time? The cowl flaps would be thinned down as would the front edge of the carburettor air intake.Apart from taking a little more time and refining the exhausts and cockpit there's not really much else to do to this kit. This was a thoroughly pleasant build and well worth the effort. One final shot of Team Tenner. My thanks once again to Mark for his hosting and to all for looking in,this has been a good fun GB.Now how about LTAT 2?

  33. Hiya, My first try in large scale modeling, Dragon's 1:9 scale Iron Man armor MK XVII kit bought at Shropshire modeling show this year for quite affordable price 32 GBP. Armor featured in 3rd movie. No fancy painting, no weathering. All parts airbrushed before assembly still in frames than put together. Fitting was great, have to admit even too great as I had to scrape paint off at certain sections (did not foresee such perfection) to avoid gaps (fraction of millimeter really matters here!). Nice kit, enjoyable build, that will bring another armors to my collection... Cheers

  34. Hello I am new to the forum having used it for reference while building my latest build - the Airfix VC10 Tanker. I soon became aware that what comes out of the box is missing much needed important detailing to make an accurate C/K Standard/Super VC10, and having been forced to produce the build on the dinning room table due to my workshop being too cold to use and produce the finish I would have preferred using an airbrush, I settled for a bit of both the C & K versions leaving me with an inbetweener. I used a few aftermarket parts such as new resin engines and 26 Decals. incidentally, fish tank filter wool makes nice clouds..Please enjoy and thank you for looking.

  37. After a fairly lengthy battle, here's my completed 1/72nd scale B-2A 'Spirit'. I do like a challenge and this kit certainly gave me one - it was an incredibly basic kit and the fit was nothing short of horrendous. It was nothing that a bit (or a lot) of car body filler couldn't handle, but it did take a great deal of work getting the wing-to-body joins invisible. I sanded off the raised detail on the kit as the B-2 is devoid of any panel lines. I added some detail to the wheel-bays as they were completely devoid of any structure whatsoever, and I also scratch-built the bomb-bays as the kit only provided one and this too was completely empty in terms of structure. Some fans were added to the intakes, and I added a little extra detail to the cockpit, although I didn't go overboard here as very little can be seen. Paints were from Xtracolour, with careful masking enabling me to reproduce the RAM coating. Decals came from Begemont and performed beautifully with a bit of Microsol solution. A final matt coat came from Humbrol. All in all, a fun build but not one for the faint-hearted! Northrop B-2A Spirit - 'Spirit of Missouri' 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman AFB And an interesting comparison: two 'heavies' of their day. When you consider there's only 54 years between their first flights, it's amazing how technology changes in a relatively short space of time. Revell's 1/72nd B-17G provides an some companionship: For those interested, a full WIP can be found here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234957107-172nd-scale-b-2-spirit-bomb-bays/ Tom

  38. Some words of warning to help the unsuspecting…..Just had a play around with the mainplanes to see what the fit was like. Be VERY careful when removing them from the runners…..in fact, you may well find that some of the flap 'runners' are already damaged before you start. On Part 51 (upper wing action) two of the three 'runners' (not to be confused with sprues) had already detached themselves from the wing 'in transit' before I had even started the process of removing parts from the sprue. With the lower wing sections (Parts 41/47) I adopted my normal tactic of removing them from the sprue with part of the sprue still attached to the very fine actuators….big mistake…the load placed on the sprue actually makes it more difficult than cutting right at the ends of the actuators….Bottom line….be prepared to lose some of these very fragile actuators/runners during the wing removal process…..Of course, if you are doing the flaps up option the actuators on Parts 41/47 are not an issue but you still need to watch out for parts 46/51 (upper wing sections). For those that will persevere with the flaps down option, I anticipate that Parts 106/108 (again part of the flap running gear arrangement) will be the next issue….these too look to be a challenge when removing from the sprue. Good Luck ! HTH Mark

  40. Thanks very much SaintsPhil - will have to have a look and weigh it all up - adding all the parts together or getting the Olimp set (also has decals) - I am not going to be that worried about 'uber detail' - I haven't the skills or knowledge yet, and all my models will be in-flight and in either of my boys room or the games room ceilings, so want I want is a model that looks like a harrier in the right colours and decals with the correct weapons. Once I get the hang of resin, airbrushes (just got an Iwata Neo CN - never airbrushed before!) etc, I may start trying to get more detailed. I take it that the schemes were Dark Sea Grey on top and Dark Cam Grey elsewhere??? I have a healthy stash of RAF Lakenheath themed aircraft (I come from Lakenheath village) and kits from my military career (Tornados, Bucc, Jaguar, Canberra, Typhoon, Phantom, Hunter etc) to keep me going! couple of pics from 2008 at KAF

  41. Hi All, Want to join the GB, however it will be very basic OOB stuff, as I am only just back modelling after 25 years! I Have the Revell 1/48 GR7/9 set, also have a set of the disbandment decals - however I have history with the Harrier, I served in 3 PARA for 25 years and used Harrier air support during Op Telic 1 in 2003 and also as a JTAC in Helmand during Op Herrick 4 in 2006 and Op Herrick 8 in 2008 - so it has got me and my colleagues out of the proverbial a few times, along with Apache. I would like to do a Herrick jet, but would need weapons, such as the Paveway IV 500lb and CVR7 Rockets as per the link below: http://forums.flyer.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=67373 interestingly my Platoon Comd was a Capt Andy Blackmore, brother of James Blackmore RN, who flew the Harrier. So - where could I get the correct weapons (Sniper, TERMA, DJRP, CVR7 x2, Paveway IV x 2 - 2 x BOL's are in the kit), and also is there Herrick Decals - I have looked, but no joy, but have seen mention of them. If its too much and too complicated, may just go for JEDI 3, flown by James on the disbandment flight! Help!!

  42. Spent most of last week feeling like a corpse...flu or something...I got no bench time from last Monday through to this past weekend. When I did get going again I felt obligated to focus on the Ventura. But that one's got a base coat drying, so it was Junkers time tonight. First, I've been fiddling with the wings for a while now, but I wrapped them up (minus the engine nacelles). Painted interiors with Mr. Color RLM 02. I highlighted with some Model Master Oil Stain from the AB and then I hit it with a wash. Not great pictures since I just snapped real fast at the bench. Next I moved to working on the nose a bit. Two glass pieces installed at this point and neither of them fit exceptionally well. I think this had a bit to do with the CMK cockpit pushing the nose a little wider than it's supposed to be. The chin piece took well to Tamiya Extra Thin and some targeted sanding brought it together with the fuselage just fine. The nose piece was upon test fitting had a bit of a gap, but I realized that one side of the fuselage extended a little furthure. I sanded it even as much as I could, but some gaps in spots still presented. I used CA to attach the piece and act as filler. The nice thing about the vinyl masks is that you can sand with a little more confidence. To the touch and naked eye I think I'm where I want to be with it. Putting some paint on tomorrow will answer that mystery, but I don't foresee it needing much more work. Obligatory wings on shot. I'm leaning real heavy toward painting those behemoths separately. Even with that tape (for blocking sanding dust) in the way it's a snug fit.

I had a further think on the winch and decided the best way forward was to scratch build the whole lot so I did a sketch and measured some key dimensions: Using some 0.5mm rod as an axle I built up the central part out of plastic tube: I punched out some 5mm diameter discs for the end stops and got it to this stage as well as starting to drill out the holes in the frame for the axle: To be continued... Bye for now, Nigel

  45. Hello, Here's my recently completed Airfix Bf109 E-3. Great little starter set with really nicely fitting parts that I picked up for the grand price of £2.99 in Aldi a few months ago! There's no aerial mast - I broke it and can't really be bothered to replace it. The kit comes with some small pots of Humbrol acrylic paint [including 31 Slate Grey, 65 Aircraft Blue and 117 US Light Green] and I used 65 and 117 for the blue and green parts of the finish [but I mixed both with some white to lighten the colours, especially the blue] and mixed my own grey because I didn't like the look of the Slate Grey. I also used the new matt varnish from Tamiya which worked great. Thanks for looking Matt

  46. Wash was applied this morning: Left on for about 45 minutes. The wings, tanks, pylons and LANTIRN pod all got the same treatment. Took about 30 minutes to get the excess off: Once that was left to set for a while, I added the landing gear and left for a few hours. Once set, i came back and added all gear doors, wing pylons, fuel tanks and horizontal stabilisers: Will get a matt coat on tomorrow morning then start adding the final few pieces, starting with the FOD covers. 47. i dont know guys what are you smoking, but that gotta be some strong stuff... Nono, seriously - i m not that experienced and skilled to make some tutorials I dont mind to give some advice from my own experience, but still.. Once i ll feel like i know what i m doing and not just guessing and experimenting, i ll gladly do any kind of tutorials, because that ll mean i m good at something. But so far with all honesty and respect to other modellers, i need to learn a lot before that happens A bit more progress.. working on the armament right now. So, bomb bay doors with some simple construction (a bit simplified, i have just tonight, tomorrow night and saturday afternoon to finish this, so need to hurry up things a bit), filled holes in the bomb using evergreen strips (tamyia moulded the bombs with cut offs for the bomb racks) and gave it surfacer 500 coat for a bit more rough structure. Also i made bomb rack to bomb bay, i did not have photo from real plane of this bomb rack, so i made something similar what i found in some 1/32 build online. Next were the rocket launchers, i drilled some holes to one, it seems these were for leighten the construction a bit. Enhanced a bit the rocket tail, thinking about making the rocket "wings" just from can strips. Also i made the protector from brass (it was protecting the rocket launchers when the fuel tanks were dropped, so it did not accidentaly crash into the rocket packs), but i ll have to make it again i think, this was more like test how the CA works with brass vs lead joints. Also, the top side of wing has the right roundels now THanks once again for the point Paul And the mossie is finaly standing on her own The propellers are just dry fit there for the photo purpose

  49. No, I just snatch time when I can, i.e. I'm not getting enough sleep. Plus I'm getting quicker with the airbrush, it takes about half an hour to spray one colour. It would take me a hell of lot longer to brush paint these models. The mottling on the Bf110 probably took twenty minutes. Late last nights work, decals 90% done - The photos were done in a bit of rush while eating breakfast
